HEY EVERYONE, GUESS WHAT, I CAN DRAW/MAKE MUSIC!
I'm gonna give some recommendations if you're wondering what software I use.
-For my digital art I use Krita. the reason is quite obvious, it's free and it's used by many artists. it's also what I've been using to animate for FNF. I honestly don't wanna get Adobe Animate or Photoshop because I can't afford the cancer plan (I don't even wanna pirate that shit, I'm good with Krita, as long as I can replicate the FNF art style).
now I could use Flash CS6, and that does sound pretty good, but for now we Krita'ing.
-I use a Wacom Intuos tablet that I got for Christmas recently. it gets the job done. before I just used a mouse, and I did a damn good job with it. I also got another drawing tablet (I can't remember the name of it, but it seems better than the one I'm using). But I'm gonna stick with this one for now.
-For music production, I use FL Studio 20, I might upgrade to 21 soon.
-Instruments I use for my music are mostly soundfonts but also some good VSTs, they are
-Surge VST (good Vst with some good Synths)
-STH instruments soundfonts (underrated and should be used more than GenesisSF in my opinion)
-Sonic Battle and Sonic Rush soundfonts
-Ultimate Hideki Sample Pack and Sonic CD Sample pack
-Magical8bit VST and NES VST
-Fruity Slicex for most samples I need to arrange precisely (before I just did it manually by hand)
-SMG and Touhou soundfonts (sometimes)
-Flex VST (this VST saved my ass multiple times) I use this for "old flash game Bass" I like to call it
-Earthbound and Mother 3 soundfonts my beloved
-Samples from whatever I feel like that day (Amphibia, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, AOSTH)
I'd love some recommendations of VSTs I should use, that is free as well (I'm poor).
-For audio recording, I use Audacity and a Blue Snowball Mic for recording, I mostly go in FL studio 20 for effects.
If you want some tips on how to make music... IDK, I got like maybe 2.
For FNF music, I recommend trying to just do your own style, I've been trying to replicate Kawaii's style for a year now, and since I don't have the instruments and VST knowledge he does, I can't do it successfully, the FNF devs said they wanna see something different for the official game, so compose how you want.
I also recommend this, if you get an FLP and are planning to make a remix of it, I advise you to do more than just midislapping the instruments and calling it a day. I love it when people change the melody of the voices to a different melody since it's more than just opening a chromatic's folder and replacing the voices that way, try going "what would I do if I composed this song" and what would you do differently than the original composer had in mind. try to make it your own.
ART TIPS? ummmm, hmmmmmmm, that's a hard one. I'd say try to improve your art style but still make it your own, art is subjective Afterall. If you have a style that inspires you, go crazy trying to replicate it!
there are like a million videos on how to improve your art and animation, so watch those if you want.
How I draw is hard to describe, I try to replicate PhantomArcade and Paul Robertson's art style, but keeping my own style in there somehow (which is inspired by The PowerPuff girls and Sonic art styles).
it's up to you!
stay funky
